Job summary

Visiting Angels is seeking a Home Care Aide to provide one-on-one in-home support with flexible full-time or part-time shifts. You’ll be supported by a team that values your growth and gives hands-on clinical support.

Responsibilities include daily living assistance, home care tasks, and wellness checks, with opportunities for advancement and paid training.

Qualifications

• Experience as a caregiver/HHA or similar role is a plus.
• Completion of an accredited Home Health Aide (HHA) program is required.
• If not certified, the company offers a CHHA course through an accredited school.

Responsibilities

• Personalized daily living assistance: transfers, bathing, mobility support.
• Healthy home environment: linen changes, light laundry, tidy living areas.
• Medication reminders and wellness checks.
• Mind-body engagement: reading aloud, chair exercises.
• Detailed reporting: document care notes and share changes with RN or Care Supervisor.

How You’ll Make a Difference

• Personalized Daily Living Assistance – Safely transfer clients, support bathing/grooming, and help with mobility devices.
• Healthy Home Environment – Change linens, do light laundry, and keep living areas clean and hazard-free.
• Medication & Wellness Checks – Provide timely reminders and record basic vitals or observations.
• Mind-Body Engagement – Read aloud, reminisce, or guide simple chair-exercises to keep clients alert and active.
• Detailed Reporting – Document care notes and promptly share changes with your RN or Care Supervisor.

The Skills & Heart You Bring

• Experience as a caregiver, HHA, or in a similar role is a plus. Completion of an accredited Home Health Aide (HHA) program (or equivalent) is required. However, if you're not yet certified, we offer the course to help you become a Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) through our accredited school. We're looking for someone with the right heart to make a difference.
