Job summary

hce-careers is seeking Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) to provide one-to-one patient care in New Jersey. Flexible schedules include part-time and full-time shifts; location is home-based with travel to clients' homes.

You will perform ADL support, medication reminders, and monitor client well-being under supervision. This role emphasizes compassionate, relationship-centered care, strict infection control, and accurate documentation in digital charts.

Qualifications

• Completion of a state-approved Home Health Aide (HHA) program and certificate is required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to reach clients’ homes.
• Clear, confident communication and a passion for relationship-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Hands-On ADL Support – Safely assist transfers, bathing, grooming, toileting, and mobility, protecting dignity.
• Home Environment & Infection Control – Change linens, light laundry, maintain a hazard-free, sanitized space.
• Medication & Symptom Monitoring – Provide reminders, observe changes, document vitals or red-flag signs for supervising nurse.
• Therapeutic Engagement – Read aloud, reminisce, guide range-of-motion exercises, or accompany short walks to boost wellness.
• Accurate Documentation – Record care notes, progress and concerns in the digital charting system before each shift ends.
