Job summary

Visiting Angels Marmora is seeking Home Care Aides in Somers Point, NJ, for full-time or part-time positions. As a trusted caregiver, you will assist clients with daily activities, maintain a clean home environment, and perform wellness checks. Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Home Health Aide (HHA) program or equivalent is required.
• Previous experience as a caregiver or Home Health Aide is a plus.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized daily living assistance to clients.
• Support clients with bathing, grooming, and mobility.
• Maintain a healthy home environment and perform light housekeeping.
• Conduct medication and wellness checks.
• Document care notes and communicate changes to the RN or Care Supervisor.

Skills

Experience as a caregiver, HHA, or similar role

Completion of an accredited Home Health Aide (HHA) program

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Strong written and verbal communication

Genuine desire to foster trust and dignity

How You’ll Make a Difference

• Personalized Daily Living Assistance – Safely transfer clients, support bathing/grooming, and help with mobility devices.


• Healthy Home Environment – Change linens, do light laundry, and keep living areas clean and hazard‑free.


• Medication & Wellness Checks – Provide timely reminders and record basic vitals or observations.


• Mind-Body Engagement – Read aloud, reminisce, or guide simple chair‑exercises to keep clients alert and active.


• Detailed Reporting – Document care notes and promptly share changes with your RN or Care Supervisor.

The Skills & Heart You Bring

• Experience as a caregiver, HHA, or in a similar role is a plus. Completion of an accredited Home Health Aide (HHA) program (or equivalent) is required. However, if you're not yet certified, we offer the course to help you become a Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) through our accredited school. We're looking for someone with the right heart to make a difference.
