Description
Manages the Brookdale at Home (Home Care Agency) associated with a Brookdale Senior Housing community. The agency's average monthly service hours typically range between 700 and 2000 hours. Ensures the efficient and effective operation of the Brookdale at Home (Home Care Agency) and interdisciplinary team processes.
Provides direct management of all Brookdale at Home (Home Care Agency) associates, usually 10 to 20 staff members, including scheduling, coaching, counseling, disciplining, and performance evaluations. Ensures adequate staffing coverage for daily service provision.
Motivates staff through appreciation, recognition, and incentive programs. Promotes positive relations and resolves grievances. Provides ongoing orientation, training, and education through various formats such as classroom and on-site training.
Ensures dissemination and compliance with community and corporate policies among staff. Contributes to the development and monitoring of the annual budget.
Collaborates with community staff and the administrator on service implementation and regulatory compliance, including clinical programs and state regulations. Maintains effective Quality Assurance programs and partners with administration to prepare for regulatory surveys.
Markets the agency to appropriate audiences. Coordinates clinical services and manages billing, scheduling, documentation, and resource allocation, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with guidelines.
Adheres to safety, infection control, OSHA standards, and maintains current knowledge of scope of practice, credentialing, and ongoing education requirements. Demonstrates sound judgment in operational planning and execution.
Maintains positive relationships with coworkers, residents, families, and community personnel. Participates in community committees and handles after-hours on-call duties, responding promptly to calls and emergencies.
Supports staff coverage when care associates are unavailable, manages on-call and weekend business needs, and performs other duties as assigned by supervisors.
