Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Respiratory Therapist – Ventilator Support to serve ventilator dependent patients in home and alternate care settings. This field clinician role blends hands-on patient care, education, and collaboration with physicians to deliver safe, high-quality outcomes outside the hospital.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from an AMA-approved respiratory program.
• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in all states served by the branch.
• CPR certification and a valid driver's license.
• Experience caring for ventilator-dependent patients.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and apply advanced knowledge of respiratory equipment and ventilators.
• Assess and reassess patient records and care plans, coordinating with physicians.
• Educate patients and caregivers on ventilator use and safety.
• Document all patient care activities accurately in the medical record.
• Participate in on-call rotation and discharge planning for complex cases.
