Job summary

AdaptHealth is hiring a Respiratory Therapist – Ventilator Support to deliver specialized respiratory care to ventilator dependent patients in home settings. You will educate families, coordinate with physicians, and ensure high-quality outcomes outside the hospital.

The role requires an AMA-approved respiratory program degree, 1 year of ventilator-related clinical experience, a valid Respiratory Therapist license in serviced states, CPR certification, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from AMA-approved respiratory program is required.
• CPR certification is required.
• Valid and unrestricted Respiratory Therapist license in all states serviced by the branch is required.
• One (1) year of clinical experience as a Nurse with ventilator exposure, Healthcare Respiratory Therapist or HME Respiratory Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialized respiratory care to ventilator dependent patients in home and alternate care settings.
• Provide education and collaborate with physicians and care teams to support safe outcomes outside the hospital.
• Maintain knowledge of ventilators, HME products, and payer and regulatory guidelines.
• Document patient care activities and outcomes accurately and timely.
