Job summary

EOLA Power is seeking a skilled UPS Field Engineer to oversee start-up, testing, commissioning, maintenance, and emergency support for power electronics at customer sites in South Florida. The role involves on-site testing, preventive maintenance, and field modifications, with periodic training at headquarters.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of field experience (10+ preferred), strong troubleshooting skills for UPS-related equipment, and a willingness to work nights, weekends, and on-call

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years' field experience; 10+ years preferred.
• Proficient troubleshooting UPS systems, batteries, PDUs, STSs.
• Able to lift up to 100 lbs and perform field repairs.
• Strong verbal and written communication with customers.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and be on-call.
• Clean driving record and valid license.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software.
• Technical degree a plus; military electrical/mechanical background valued.

Responsibilities

• Perform commissioning-focused design reviews, procedures, and on-site testing.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and emergency response for UPS systems.
• Coordinate with technical support to resolve issues.
• Develop MOPs and field procedures as needed.
• Complete Field Service Reports and provide client recommendations.
• Train at company HQ on testing equipment and rebuilding systems.
• Travel regionally in South Florida with occasional national travel.
