Job summary

Currentlighting is seeking an Area Sales Manager to drive Tetra Signage growth across the Southwest, with the role home-based in the DFW, Houston, or San Antonio TX markets. You will manage relationships with sign shops, OEMs, and distributors while meeting sales targets across Lighting and Controls groups.

The position requires 4+ years in commercial sales in signage, travel readiness for field work, and a strong network within the signage distribution ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or minimum of 5 years working directly in electrical signage.
• Minimum of 4 years of commercial sales experience, preferably across a multi-state territory.
• Knowledge of the electrical signage business and in-depth knowledge of products and applications preferred.
• Demonstrated track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with distribution & OEM partners to drive sales conversions.
• Proven experience in developing and executing distribution plans to achieve growth targets.
• Ability to maintain strong self-discipline and motivation to independently manage frequent field travel to meet sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Actively promote and manage Tetra Signage products within the designated territory.
• Establish, develop, and maintain strong relationships with signage distributors, sign manufacturers, and strategic clients.
• Manage sales pipeline and sales conversion metrics through CRM and other reporting tools.
• Coordinate closely with the Regional Sales Support Specialist to ensure effective conversion strategies based on feedback, reporting, and diagnostics.
• Respond promptly to customer needs, inquiries, and concerns to build credibility and trust.
• Collaborate closely with National Signage Sales Team to maximize sales and profitability.
• Create strong synergy by working closely with other Area Managers, Specification Sales Leads, and other internal stakeholders to foster a culture of success.
• Proactively maintain communication and rapport with decision-makers at distribution and sign OEMs.
