Job summary

Thom Child & Family Services in Norwood, MA is seeking a Physical Therapist to join our Early Intervention team. You will provide home and community-based services to infants and toddlers birth to three, partnering with families to create individualized, evidence-based plans.

Responsibilities include multidisciplinary assessments, IFSP collaboration, parent coaching, and documenting progress in Thom's electronic system. A MA PT license and driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license in MA.
• Experience with infants, toddlers and families preferred.
• Knowledge of family systems and early childhood development.
• Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to engage in meaningful, therapeutic relationships with children, parents, and community partners.
• Ability to deliver individualized and culturally humble services.
• Driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Participate in multidisciplinary team assessments of the client’s developmental status.
• Assess family and child strengths/resources, concerns, and progress.
• Provide child and family centered services and activities developmentally appropriate for birth to three with parent coaching.
• Provide service coordination by scheduling, developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating intervention plans.
• Partner with families to identify IFSP goals, objectives, and strategies.
• Facilitate parent-child interactions to support child development and advocate for the child.
• Complete progress notes, reports, assessments, and correspondence using Thom’s electronic documentation system.
• Provide individual and group interventions for infants and toddlers birth to three with developmental delays or risks.
