Job summary

PowerBack Rehabilitation is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide outpatient rehabilitation in a home-based setting for older adults in Worcester, MA, Auburn to Westborough. The role offers a flexible schedule with 20-28 hours per week across in-home visits or community settings, under supervision of an Occupational Therapist.

The position emphasizes patient-centered care, independence goals, and collaboration with the rehab team to optimize home adaptations and function.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid license in the state(s) of practice, or proof of license eligibility.
• Must have a valid driver's license or reliable transportation to and from patients' residence.

Responsibilities

• Attends patient care, staffing conferences and meetings as a representative of occupational therapy.
• Adheres to department and patient treatment schedule, with timely documentation and meetings.
• Collaborates with rehabilitation team to develop patient programs and activities.
• Educates patients, families, and caregivers in OT skills and techniques under supervision.
• Maintains timely documentation for all patients treated.
• Cleans and maintains equipment and reports repairs as needed.
• Delivers patient-centered care and supports the patient’s individualized treatment plan.
