Job summary

Mackinnon Bruce International partners with a leading laboratory technology manufacturer to recruit a Field Automation Scientist for US customers. The role focuses on commissioning automation systems, optimizing customer applications and ensuring successful implementation of integrated workflows.

You will work with engineering, applications and commercial teams as the technical expert during installation, training and ongoing support, while helping laboratories maximize automation value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences or related field.
• Advanced degree is a plus.
• Experience in applications, field service or technical support for automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead installation, integration testing and site acceptance of automation systems.
• Deliver comprehensive customer training after installation.
• Support customers in developing and implementing automated workflows.
• Act as the technical expert for automation software and troubleshooting.
• Provide remote and on-site technical support for automation applications.
• Collaborate with engineering, service and commercial teams for customer success.
• Document issues, solutions and customer interactions in the CRM.
• Provide field insights to support product improvements.
• Travel across the US and Canada, with some international travel.
