Job summary

PINAL GILA COMMUNITY CHILD SERVICES is seeking a Home Base Teacher to engage families in a culturally responsive home-based program aligned with Head Start standards. You will deliver curriculum, assess children, and advocate for families while collaborating with Education, Health, Nutrition, and Community partners.

The role requires building strong parent-child relationships, planning learning experiences, and supporting children birth to five including those with special needs or dual language

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Home visitation CDA or an AA degree in social work or related field.
• BA degree preferred.
• One year of experience in Early Care & Education, Social Services, Education, Home Visitation or Health Care.
• Advanced computer skills, internet and e-mail proficiency.
• Maintain Arizona Driver's License, proof of insurance, fingerprint card and vehicle if needed.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Delivers direct services to families with children ages 0-5 and expectant families within home base.
• Remains knowledgeable of Head Start Program Performance Standards for home-based services.
• Partners with Education, Health, Nutrition, Disability, Family and community partners.
• Promotes healthy parent-child relationships and views parents as the experts on their child.
• Plans and conducts home-based learning experiences aligned to Head Start outcomes.
• Works with parents to develop and implement educational programs and IEP/IFSP goals as applicable.
• Facilitates socialization opportunities for enrolled and wait-listed families and their children.
• Maintains confidentiality regarding families, staff, and partners.
