Job summary

Child-Parent Centers, Inc. seeks an Education Services Specialist to lead educational coaching across classrooms, staff, and families within Southern Arizona. You’ll guide teachers, site Supervisors, and partners to implement the Languages of Learning Curriculum, ensuring school readiness and high-quality early childhood education.

You will mentor educators, develop capacity, monitor progress, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet Head Start standards and program goals.

Qualifications

  • Possess a bachelor’s degree from a recognized educational institute in the field of early childhood education or a bachelor’s degree in a related field (as determined by the agency) and a minimum of 18 credits of early childhood education coursework.
  • Three (3) years working experience in a preschool classroom or early childhood education setting
  • One (1) year of experience coaching, mentoring, or supervising preschool classroom staff.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive)
  • Read, write, and speak English
  • Able to pass a company paid physical exam prior to starting work.
  • Able to pass a DES Centralized Background Check prior to starting work.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and implement agency adopted research-based approaches to professional development.
  • Use agency tools and resources to provide opportunities for regular coaching including feedback and modeling of effective teacher practices based on assessments.
  • Support attainment of SmartTeach and CLASS, Inter-rater Reliability certification.
  • Oversee and implement Languages of Learning Framework in classroom.
  • Review and approve classroom inventory and supplies in line with procurement policies.
  • Oversee classroom practices including room arrangement, lesson plans, schedules, routines, and transitions.
