Job summary

SJE is seeking a Business Development Manager to support our ICON brand, based in the Atlanta, GA area. You will read engineering specifications, prepare estimates and proposals for VFD and motor control solutions, and build strong customer relationships.

The role involves negotiating with vendors, providing technical support, and offering exceptional service to customers in a home-based setting. Qualified candidates have a BS in engineering (Electrical preferred), 5+ years of relevant

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (Electrical preferred) or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience.
• Expertise in Variable Frequency Drive technology including commissioning, application, and troubleshooting.
• Expertise in soft-start technology including commissioning, application, and troubleshooting.
• Experience in Medium Voltage VFDs and soft starts is a plus.
• Ability to form industry partnerships to meet sales objectives.
• Ability to provide technical training and support to customers and Consulting Engineers, in person and via TEAMs or ZOOM.
• Understanding of bid specifications and the ability to read electronic drawings/specifications.
• Excellent customer service focus with clear and frequent communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; PLC programming and SCADA a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read engineering specifications and provide take-offs.
• Generate sales quotes and proposals for VFD and motor control solutions.
• Build lasting customer relationships and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Negotiate with vendors on equipment specifications and pricing.
• Provide technical training and support to customers and engineers.
• Maintain strong communication and customer service standards on every engagement.
