Job summary

Flanigan’s Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a friendly server to greet guests, take orders, and deliver meals with care. You will sustain a clean dining area, manage POS transactions, and assist with sidework and shift duties as needed.

Flat responsibilities include maintaining knowledge of menu items, promotions, and ensuring guest satisfaction while following Florida safety and sanitation policies. 21+ age and compliance with certifications may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to greet guests courteously and take orders accurately.
• Proficient in handling payments (cash, credit) and giving correct change.
• Able to communicate clearly with guests and team members.
• Knowledge of Florida safety and sanitation policies is required.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and guide them to open seating or their tables.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter into POS.
• Deliver food and beverages promptly and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Handle payments accurately and issue receipts.
• Maintain cleanliness and restock duties during shift.
• Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor and food safety certification as required.

Job description

At Flanigan’s, we strive to bring together warm, caring, friendly, outgoing people, who find joy in serving others. Our servers play a vital role in every meal - welcoming and guiding, taking orders and serving, and attending to details.

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
• Support fellow employees in maintaining table appearance, food/drink running, etc. as needed
• Be knowledgeable regarding Food & Beverage menus and items, current food and/or drink promotions and specials, and answer guests’ questions verbally and clearly
• Accurately write down guests’ orders and enter into POS system, in a timely manner
• Retrieve food or drink orders from kitchen or bar area, and deliver them to guests in a timely manner
• Ability to assess guests’ demeanor and identify when to summon a Manager
• Collect guests’ payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards only), ensure transactions are correct using POS efficiently, calculate and deliver correct change to guests in a timely manner
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework
• Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guests
• Can physically stand/walk 100% of shift
• Can reach, bend, stoop frequently
• Able to deliver plates, and clear tables of plates and glasses, which may require lifting up to 50 lbs
• Ability to speak, read and write English
• Ability to read and write handwritten guest checks, notes, etc
• Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
• Five (5) Day Work Week
