Qualified applicants should be at least 17, able to stand for up to 8 hours, and prepared to work in cold weather, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Be at least 17 years of age or older.
• Must clear Alaska State background check.
• Complete Kettle Worker Training.
• Must be able to stand or sit for up to 8 hours on concrete.
• Must withstand cold or freezing temperatures for up to 8 hours.
• Be courteous and respectful to patrons, staff, volunteers, and visitors.
• Follow policies as outlined by The Salvation Army AK Handbook.

Responsabilités

• Standing outside assigned store and ringing the bell for donations.
• Be a friendly and positive face for The Salvation Army.
• Guard the Red Kettle within reason.
• Interact with and greet store patrons.
• Dress appropriately for weather conditions.
• Relieve a previous volunteer/Kettle Worker in a timely manner.
• Follow all policies and mandates of The Salvation Army and partnering businesses.
