Job summary

Vacatia is seeking an HOA Accountant to help build scalable accounting operations for our HOA boards and owner experiences. You will focus on fund accounting, board reporting, and continuous process improvements in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

Responsibilities include monthly, quarterly, and annual statements; maintaining the general ledger; reconciliations; payroll accruals; intercompany processing; and supporting audits, forecasts, and pro forma reporting while partnering with internal

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 2–4 years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, formulas, financial models)
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Self-starter mindset with a passion for continuous improvement

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements using fund accounting
• Develop HOA board reporting and support ad hoc financial requests
• Maintain the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account setup
• Support month-end close, payroll accruals, and other adjusting entries
• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain supporting schedules
• Assist with accounts receivable, including invoicing and payment postings
• Process and reconcile intercompany transactions
• Partner with internal teams to improve accuracy, efficiency, and automation
• Support audits, forecasting, business reviews, and pro forma reporting
• Leverage technology to streamline workflows and enhance scalability

What You’ll Do

What You Bring
