Job summary

The Management Trust in San Diego is seeking a Senior Community Association Manager to oversee operations, maintenance, and governance for designated HOAs. The role mentors newer managers and partners with Boards and developer contacts to drive proactive maintenance, budgeting, and long-term planning.

The position emphasizes leadership, client satisfaction, and thorough understanding of governing documents, state rules, and local ordinances. Exempt, full-time with salary in the 78k–85k range.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or equivalent).
• 3 years experience as a Community Manager handling HOA duties.
• May require industry certifications or licensing (state dependent).
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Strong leadership abilities and comfort with public speaking (small and large groups).
• Ability to meet deadlines and address time-sensitive issues.
• Ability to manage workflow amid shifting priorities.
• Willing to learn Company processes and proprietary software.
• Work independently with accountability to Division Leadership.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of assigned communities with HOA oversight and strategic planning.
• Coordinate with support teams to ensure timely completion of tasks and deliverables.
• Maintain communication with Board and developers to meet budget, quality, and service goals.
• Guide Boards on business decisions using proactive leadership and planning.
• Oversee planning, projects, and deadlines for the Association and Board contacts.
• Conduct periodic site inspections to monitor common areas and compliance.
• Review invoices, monitor cash flow, and coordinate budget with accounting.
