Job summary

Volunteers of America South Central Louisiana, Inc. is seeking a Coordinated Entry Specialist to enter client data into HMIS and coordinate entry assessments in a shelter setting in Baton Rouge, LA.

This full-time, non-exempt role supports data quality and connects individuals to eligible services. The position requires a high school diploma and at least two years working with homeless or vulnerable populations, with strong communication and independent work abilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with strong data entry skills.
• Minimum two years serving homeless or vulnerable populations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Enter client data in the HMIS data base.
• Work with System Administrator on required reports.
• Develop expertise in using the Advanced Reporting Tool.
• Refer consumers to eligible services.
• Engage consumers to services and build rapport.
• Maintain program records and housing/resource database.
