Job summary

Banner Health is seeking an HME Customer Care Representative to ensure patients receive the right medical equipment at the right time. You will bridge patients, providers, insurers and clinical teams, handling referrals, verifications, and order coordination with precision.

You will build equipment orders from patient records, offer suitable alternatives to improve outcomes, and work with dispatch and clinical staff to set clear delivery expectations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Literacy and basic math skills required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and hospital operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle referrals and orders; verify information for pre-certifications and authorizations.
• Build equipment orders from patient records and suggest product alternatives.
• Provide verbal and written instructions to patients and families regarding products and services.
• Data entry of patient intake information and insurance details.
• Coordinate delivery with dispatch, warehouse and clinical staff; set delivery expectations.
• Facilitate problem solving with patients, hospitals, insurers and staff; update payer information.
• Interact with internal and external teams to coordinate patient services.
