Job summary

Intermountain Health in South Jordan, Utah is seeking a Home Medical Equipment Coordinator to manage the intake, coordination, and timely implementation of HME orders for diverse referral sources and patients.

You will document accurately, verify medical necessity, and guide orders from referral to delivery, including in‑home fittings and equipment education for patients and caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries and triaging requests.
• Handle patient intake, entry into EMR, and verify insurance or self-pay status.
• Coordinate delivery and fulfillment of medical equipment and supplies.
• Support discharges and transitions of care with equipment setup for home use.
• Provide one-on-one patient education and equipment fittings.
• Process POS transactions and coordinate delivery or pick-up in clinical and retail settings.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure seamless service and maintain relationships.
