Intermountain Healthcare Inc. is seeking a Home Medical Equipment Coordinator in Salt Lake City area to manage patient orders from intake through delivery and setup.

You will educate patients on equipment use and coordinate with referral sources, providers, and internal teams to ensure accurate documentation and timely fulfillment. Responsibilities include EMR data entry, insurance verification, and coordinating field deliveries when needed.

• Field/Delivery Positions: valid driver's license and reliable transportation; driving record will be verified.

Responsibilities

• Delivers exceptional customer service by promptly and courteously responding to inquiries; triages and routes communications.
• Gathers referral information, enters data into EMR, and verifies insurance benefits or self-pay at intake.
• Manages delivery and fulfillment of medical equipment; coordinates timely with delivery staff.
• Supports discharges and transitions of care by ensuring equipment setup for home use.
• Provides one-on-one patient support, including equipment education and fittings.
• Processes POS transactions by entering orders and coordinating delivery or pick-up.
• Collaborates across departments to ensure seamless service and prioritize daily workflow.
• Maintains knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and third-party billing; privacy rules compliance.
