Swinton Academy is seeking a passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work within our Integrated Resource provision, supporting pupils with SEND and safeguarding across the academy.

You will work with teachers, SEND staff and external agencies to deliver high-quality provision tailored to individual needs, complement curriculum delivery, and assist with planning and interventions while promoting safe, inclusive learning.

Qualifications

• HLTA Standards compliant
• SEND support experience beneficial
• Collaborative teamwork with educators

Responsabilités

• Support the learning, progress and wellbeing of pupils with SEND, enabling access to a broad curriculum.
• Collaborate with teachers, SEND staff and external agencies to tailor provision to individual needs.
• Complement teachers' delivery of the curriculum and contribute to TA and student development.
• Assist with planning, preparation of resources and delivery of targeted interventions and personalised learning programmes.
• Supervise whole classes during short-term teacher absence where appropriate.
• Support pupils to develop confidence, independence, communication and social skills.
• Contribute to professional development of colleagues across the Trust and share effective SEND practice.
• Promote positive values, attitudes and behaviour, creating a safe and supportive learning environment.
