Job summary

This position is responsible for communication between HIL and Transplant Teams regarding patient samples, orders, results, and reports. This role requires experience with EPIC, HistoTrac, Unet, and NMDP software, and 3-5 years of HLA laboratory experience.

Excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills are required, with a collaborative mindset to ensure accurate testing and timely documentation within the transplant program.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of HLA laboratory experience.
• Excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient with EPIC and histocompatibility software.

Responsibilities

• Maintains communication with the transplant Program via Phone/Email/TEAMS.
• Ensure that all testing and sample related questions are followed up and resolved.
• Responds to inquiries regarding result status.
• Maintains UNOS Active waitlist in HistoTrac.
• Maintains NMDP form submission for form 22/form 117.
• Monitor the monthly waitlist batch uploads.
• Assist in maintaining UNOS Database for TIEDI and HLA verification.
• Assist in maintaining NKR database for Unacceptable listing and HLA typing.
• Assist in ordering and reporting virtual crossmatches.
• Contribute to HIL test analysis, review, signoff, and reporting.
• Contribute to QC and PT reviews and proper documentation.
• Participate in patient/donor selection meetings as needed.
