Job summary

UC San Diego's Immunogenetics and Transplantation Laboratory is seeking a technician to perform technical tasks related to diagnostic testing. Under supervision, you will receive and process clinical specimens, accession them in the LIMS, and prepare samples for HLA testing.

Additional duties include supply/inventory management, clerical support, and communication with laboratory customers. A background in natural sciences and clinical lab experience are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in a natural science or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum one year of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process clinical specimens for diagnostic testing.
• Accession specimens in the LIS and prepare for HLA testing.
• Assist with supply/inventory management and clerical support.
• Communicate with laboratory customers regarding specimens and results.
