Job summary

Vanderbilt Health's HLA Laboratory seeks a skilled professional to coordinate communication between the histocompatibility team and transplant program. Experience with EPIC, HistoTrac, Unet and NMDP software is essential.

Strong organizational and written communication skills are required, with 3–5 years in an HLA lab. The role focuses on data handling, waitlist management, and reporting, with opportunities to contribute to QC, PT reviews and donor/patient meetings.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of HLA Laboratory experience required.
• Excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills.
• Experience using EPIC, HistoTrac, Unet and NMDP software.

Responsibilities

• Maintains communication with the transplant Program via Phone/email/TEAMS.
• Resolves testing and sample-related questions; follows up on inquiries.
• Maintains UNOS Active waitlist in HistoTrac; submits form 22/form 117.
• Maintains NMDP form submission; communicates with Biotouch and monthly waitlist uploads.
• Assists in maintaining UNOS database for TIEDI and HLA verification; NKR database entries.
• Performs ordering and reporting of virtual crossmatches.
• Contributes to HIL test analysis, review, signoff and reporting.
• Contributes to QC and PT reviews; documents activities.
• Participates in patient/donor selection meetings as needed.
