Job summary

Vanderbilt Health is seeking a dedicated HLA Laboratory professional to coordinate communication between the Histocompatibility and Transplant teams. The role involves handling patient samples, orders, results, and reports using EPIC, HistoTrac, Unet, and NMDP software.

Qualified candidates will have 3–5 years of HLA laboratory experience, strong organizational and written communication skills, and a Tennessee MLS/ASCP/AMT certification pathway.

Qualifications

• Certification requirements: LIC-Medical Laboratory Act (Tennessee), Medical Laboratory Scientist - ASCP, Medical Technologist - AMT.
• Relevant Work Experience noted in responsibilities.
• Education: Bachelor's (Required).

Responsibilities

• Maintains communication with the transplant Program via Phone/email/TEAMSEnsure that all testing and sample related questions are followed up and resolved.
• Responds to inquiries regarding Result status
• Maintains UNOS Active waitlist in HistoTrac
• Maintains NMDP form submission for form 22/form 117
• Assists in ordering and reporting virtual crossmatches
• Contributes to HIL test Analysis, Review, signoff, and Reporting
