Job summary

AVOL Prevention Services is seeking a Prevention Care Coordinator to be the first point of contact for clients, handling patient registration, front office operations, EMR management in AthenaOne, and data entry in a welcoming, affirming environment.

The role includes rapid testing for HIV, STI, hepatitis C, and pregnancy, prevention education, PrEP/PEP navigation, and linkage to care, with collaboration across clinical and administrative staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Compassionate, culturally responsive and trauma-informed customer service.
• Proficiency with computers and EMR systems; ability to learn new health tech.

Responsibilities

• Client Services & Front Office Operations - Serve as the first point of contact for clients accessing AVOL Prevention Services while coordinating patient flow and administrative processes.
• EMR Management - Maintain accurate patient records in AthenaOne via registration, appointment management, insurance verification, and documentation support.
• Prevention Services Support - Provide HIV, STI, hepatitis C, syphilis, and pregnancy testing, prevention education, PrEP/PEP navigation and linkage to care.
• Data Management & Quality Assurance - Support data integrity with REDCap entry, duplicate reviews, and grant reporting support.
• Program & Administrative Support - Assist daily operations of the Prevention Department with inventory, outreach event prep, and collaboration with staff.
