Job summary

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of relevant experience, HIPAA knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently within a team.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Knowledge of state, federal, and private health insurance and social service benefits.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently under minimum supervision and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and data entry experience.
• HIPAA privacy knowledge and confidentiality practices.

Responsibilities

• Eligibility recertification for Ryan White Part C clients per HRSA and VCU requirements.
• Verify HIV status, residency, income, and insurance coverage; complete annual determinations.
• Maintain confidential eligibility records in EPIC and CAREWare; ensure data elements are accurate.
