Job summary

Penn Medicine in Philadelphia is seeking an HIV Prevention Coordinator to join the Division of Infectious Diseases and help establish a PEP Center of Excellence at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. You will link individuals to PEP and PrEP within 72 hours and coordinate with the Emergency Department and urgent care to ensure timely access to care.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Social Work or Public Health and at least 4 years of related experience, plus strong communication and teamwork

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Public Health, or related field required.
• 4+ years of related experience required.
• Master’s Degree in Social Work or Public Health preferred.
• Certification in HIV prevention counseling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Ending the HIV Epidemic efforts at Penn Medicine and the City of Philadelphia.
• Collaborate with Emergency Departments to ensure clinically appropriate PEP/PrEP offerings.
• Coordinate with internal/external pharmacy partners for 24/7 PEP access.
• Provide patients with comprehensive HIV prevention information and counseling.
• Oversee HIV Navigators and ensure adherence to procedures and documentation.
• Prepare monthly statistical/narrative reports for the Senior Program Manager.
• Comply with HIPAA and universal precautions; maintain patient privacy.
