Job summary

State of Georgia's Cobb and Douglas Public Health is hiring an HIV Prevention Health Educator 2 in Marietta. You will promote healthy behaviors, conduct HIV testing and counseling, and link residents to care while evaluating community needs and outcomes through data collection and analysis.

The role covers outreach to high-risk groups, develops educational programs, and supports disease intervention strategies under grant funding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education, social, behavioral, or biological sciences or a directly related field from an accredited college or university.
• One year of experience in public health education or one year at Hlth Educator 1 (HCP030) or equivalent.
• Experience with HIV prevention activities and surveillance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses community health needs to focus HIV Prevention efforts on target populations.
• Provides outreach to communities, including high-risk groups, and delivers education on HIV/AIDS and prevention tools.
• Collects and analyzes data to plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate programs.
