Job summary

RAIN is seeking a HIP Navigator in Charlotte to identify high-risk communities, conduct social networking strategy, and conduct HIV/STD testing and counseling. You will spend time in the community, provide education, and recruit individuals for PROMISE intervention.

Qualifications

• Driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Two years' HIV-related work experience preferred.
• Knowledge of HIV and other STIs.
• Ability to build relationships across diverse groups.
• Strong written and verbal communication; willingness to train others.

Responsibilities

• Provide face to face and online education on HIV, prevention, safer-sex techniques, testing and ongoing education.
• Conduct pre and post HIV testing and counseling using rapid tests.
• Provide STI testing and counseling with timely results.
• Attend and conduct offsite outreach testing events, including outside business hours.
• Build trusted, empowering relationships with clients and families while ensuring QA measures.
• Manage The Drop's social media accounts and create engaging content.
• Coordinate linkage to care for HIV positives and PrEP/PEP clients.
• Navigate with HIP Project Lead for HIV and PrEP/PEP access.
• Coordinate day-to-day linkage to care and medical services.
