Job summary

Relativity Space in Long Beach is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to design and operate the ISP HITL test environment, integrating hardware and software across spacecraft systems.

You will build bench hardware, develop flight-software validation, and create automation that runs tests end-to-end with telemetry and dashboards.

You will collaborate with propulsion, manufacturing, software, and avionics teams to ensure reliable testing as Terran R advances toward launch.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer, electrical, aerospace, or related engineering field.
• 7+ years in test engineering with automated test frameworks.
• Experience with HITL testing and flight software validation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain the ISP HITL environment end to end.
• Build simulation, data-acquisition, and control infra for stimuli into the system.
• Develop software fixturing, automated test frameworks, and CI/regression pipelines.
• Debug integrated failures across flight software, avionics, interfaces, and test infra.
• Validate timing-sensitive behavior across sensors, actuators, and comms.
• Establish dashboards, telemetry views, and test procedures for health and coverage.
• Drive final integration and test of flight hardware toward launch.
