Job summary

Relativity Space is seeking an ISP HITL test engineer to design, build, and maintain the test environment end to end, including rack fabrication, avionics installation, and harness routing. You will create the bench and software fixturing that exercises flight software against real hardware, enabling rapid validation and confidence across the program.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer, electrical, aerospace, or related engineering field, or equivalent hands‑on experience
• 7+ years of experience in test engineering, including automated test frameworks for hardware, firmware, and software
• Strong, current software skills for test automation, tooling, and validation pipelines
• Track record of building test automation and CI/regression infrastructure from the ground up
• Hands‑on hardware and embedded systems experience with Ethernet, UART, and SPI
• Ability to own a complex test capability end to end and coordinate across teams

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain the ISP HITL test environment end to end, incl. rack fabrication and avionics installation
• Build the simulation, data acquisition, and control infrastructure to drive test stimulus into the system
• Develop software fixturing, automated test frameworks, and CI/regression pipelines for hardware validation
• Debug integrated failures across flight software, avionics, interfaces, and test infrastructure
• Validate timing‑sensitive behavior across sensors, actuators, payloads, and communications buses
• Establish dashboards and procedures for health, coverage, anomalies, and traceability
• Drive final integration and test of flight hardware toward launch readiness
