Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Lab Science, Chemistry, or Biology.
• Histotechnologist (HLT) Certification preferred, not required.
• One year Histology or Clinical Lab experience preferred, not required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs histological procedures including accessioning, tissue processing, embedding, microtomy and staining.
• Assists Pathologist in gross examination of surgical specimens and in frozen section procedures.
• Reports accurate and timely test results to support patient care.
• Monitors inventory and maintains lab equipment; orders replacements as needed.
