Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Lab Science, Chemistry, or Biology required.
• One year of Histology experience preferred, not required.
• Histotechnologist Certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform histological procedures including accessioning, tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining.
• Assist Pathologist in gross examination and frozen sections.
• Report accurate and timely test results to support patient care.
• Document problems affecting test performance and take corrective actions.
• Operate and maintain histology lab equipment and manage inventory.
