Qualifications

• Associate degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology or related field.
• At least two years of relevant Medical Technology Laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Registers specimens in the LIS.
• Processes, embeds, cuts and stains tissue producing high-quality slides.
• Prepares solution for processing tissue and staining of slides.
• Accurately performs special stains and IHC stains.
• Monitors reagents for use in the lab adhering to rules on dilutions and expiry.
• Performs maintenance on all equipment per procedures.
• Monitors reagent and supply inventories and notifies when reorder level is reached.
• Performs frozen sections for pathologist.
• Maintains department readiness to meet regulatory compliance.
• Assists with grossing of biopsy specimens and other duties as assigned by manager.
