Adirondack Health in New York is seeking two laboratory professionals to support the Pathologist within Surgical Pathology and Histology services. These roles require New York licensure and the ability to perform grossing and histology tasks appropriate to training and license level.

Under supervision, you will gross tissues, prepare slides, perform stains, embedding, and IHC troubleshooting, while maintaining QA and workflow in the gross room.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in a biological or laboratory science.
• NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist license (or eligibility).
• ASCP certification preferred (MLS/MT/HTL) and histology/pathology experience.

Responsabilidades

• Perform small-specimen grossing (GI biopsies, skin shaves/punches, curettings, endometrial biopsies) under supervision.
• Support the pathologist during frozen sections.
• Embed, microtomy, H&E staining and special stains.
• Participate in IHC staining and troubleshooting.
• Operate tissue processor and conduct daily quality control.
• Maintain equipment, reagents, documentation, and gross room workflow.
• Provide technical support and assist with histology QA.
