Job summary

Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, MA is seeking a Histotechnologist/CLS to perform anatomical pathology and histology exams, ensure quality control, maintain instruments, and support testing validation.

The position is full-time with a 40-hour work week, shift 1 from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Requires HT/HTL/HTA certification and 1 year of histology experience; 2+ years of training under a Board Certified pathologist is preferred.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate or associates degree or equivalent in a biological or related science.
• Two or more years of acceptable histopathology training under supervision of a Board Certified pathologist (Registry eligible).
• HTHTLA - Histology Certified or Certified Histotechnologist through ASCP

Responsibilities

• Perform anatomical pathology or histological examinations.
• Quality control and instrument maintenance.
• Testing validation and related functions toward lab goals.
