Job summary

CellNetix Pathology & Laboratories in Alaska is seeking a Histotechnologist to prepare and process tissue samples for pathologists. The role requires HT/HTL (ASCP) certification and at least 1 year of Histology experience. Duties include processing, IHC testing, reagent preparation, and slide labeling.

The position is full-time, Monday–Friday, 4:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with benefits and opportunities for professional growth in a safety-conscious lab environment.

Qualifications

• HT/HTL (ASCP) certified.
• 1 year of Histology experience required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to learn new computer software.

Responsibilities

• Maintains processors, microtomes, stainers and coverslipping machines.
• Performs frozen section procedures as needed.
• Conducts hazardous waste control and proper disposal of all biohazardous materials and chemically hazardous materials.
• Performs IHC testing including sendouts preparation, quality control and system documentation.
• Prepares reagents.
• Labels slides and distributes cases to pathologists.
• Other duties as assigned.
