Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in medical laboratory sciences, or equivalent.
• HT or HTL (ASCP) certification, or Histotechnician diploma from an accredited program.
• HTL-ASCP Histotechnologist Certification upon hire or HTN-ASCP Histotechnician Certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process tissue specimens for microscopic examination.
• Fix, embed, section, and mount tissue on glass slides.
• Stain surgical, biopsy, and autopsy tissue sections.
• Prepare and stain cell buttons, smears, and cytocentrifuge preparations for diagnosis.
