Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a PRN Histology Technologist to prepare and process specimens for microscopic examination by pathologists. The role involves histology and cytology procedures, quality control, and collaboration with the care team to deliver accurate and timely results.

Ideal candidates have 1 year of clinical lab experience and an HT/HTL ASCP certification is highly desirable; High School Diploma is required with an Associates degree preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year of clinical laboratory experience preferred.
• ASCP HT/HTL certification is highly desirable.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process specimens for histology and cytology.
• Maintain equipment and perform quality control activities.
• Process, section, stain tissue specimens for pathologist review.
• Collaborate with pathologists and care team to ensure timely results.
• Participate in accreditation and continuous quality improvement.
