Job summary

Labcorp at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA seeks a histology technician to process tissue and prepare slides for microscopic examination. You will perform embedding, sectioning, staining, and immunohistochemistry, ensuring accurate results and quality control in a fast-paced lab.

The schedule is Monday to Friday, 9:30 am to 6:00 pm. Candidates should have a histology background, a relevant degree, and familiarity with lab information systems; ASCP certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Histology or Chemical/Biological science with 1+ year histology experience
• 3 months or more histology experience
• 3 months or more Immunohistochemistry experience
• Histology and/or ASCP certifications

Responsibilities

• Process tissue and body fluids for microscopic exams
• Produce histology slides from surgical specimens
• Section tissue with a microtome and mount slides
• Perform immunohistochemistry on FFPE tissue
• Document test results and report findings
