Job summary
Foundation Medicine’s Morrisville, NC clinical diagnostic laboratory seeks a Histotechnologist II to perform routine testing, slide preparation, and quality control in a high complexity setting. Qualifications
- Must have LIMS familiarity or experience.
- Prior histology lab experience preferred.
- Strong documentation and quality control skills.
Responsibilities
- Answer questions and troubleshoot equipment.
- Handle on-hold cases and ensure sample movement through lab.
- Train new employees on tasks relevant to their role.
- Operate microtome for slides preparation.
- Perform automated and manual staining.
- Prepare samples for nucleic acid extraction.
- Maintain equipment and routine maintenance.
- Ensure specimen integrity and GDP compliance.
- Collaborate to maintain SOPs and regulatory compliance.
- Manage supplies and reagents efficiently.
