Job summary

Fulgent Genetics, Inform Diagnostics division, in Coppell, TX, seeks a Histotech NC III PRN to prepare slides for pathologist review. You will perform routine histology, embedding, microtomy, staining, and immunohistochemistry per SOPs, under supervision.

Requires a high school diploma, 6+ years in an anatomical pathology lab, HT/HTL (ASCP) eligible preferred, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment; overtime may be required; strong attention to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• HT/HTL (ASCP) certification eligible preferred.
• 6+ years’ experience in an anatomical pathology laboratory.
• Familiar with microtome, stainer/cover slipper, slide labeler.
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Professional demeanor with physicians and lab personnel.
• Overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine histology including specimen processing, embedding, slide preparation, microtomy, staining, and immunohistochemistry.
• Maintains diagnostic viability and ensures correct patient labeling; prepare special stains and solutions.
• Log slides and stains daily; document in the surgical pathology system.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment; document actions.
• Follow laboratory safety protocols and quality control activities.
• Ensure compliance with CLIA and CAP regulations.
• Adhere to attendance and punctuality guidelines.
