Foundation Medicine in Morrisville, NC is seeking a Histotechnologist I to perform routine testing in a high-complexity clinical diagnostic laboratory, handling cutting, mounting, staining, and batching slides. This position offers increasing independence and exposure to more complex samples with prior histology experience.

Competenze

• Candidates must meet one of the following New York State qualification pathways.
• Associate degree or higher in histotechnican or related science with required training/experience.
• Bachelor's degree or higher with histology training or equivalent experience.
• Current licensure or equivalent qualifications recognized by New York State for Histotechnicians practicing in another state.

Mansioni

• Operate a microtome to produce slides from paraffin blocks.
• Perform Automated H&E Staining and Manual Kwik-Diff Staining.
• Prepare samples for nucleic acid extraction.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and perform routine maintenance.
• Ensure and maintain molecular safe integrity and quality of specimens.
• Provide inputs for SOP updates and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain GDP and proper specimen handling, labeling, and documentation.
• Participate in safety and continuing education programs.
