Castle Biosciences Inc. is growing, and we are looking to hire a Histotechnologist/Histotechnician working from our laboratory in Pittsburgh, PA @ Nova Place location, with a start date on or before August 14, 2025.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A Laboratory, Histologist

You won't find a work culture and benefits package like ours every day. Come join our team and a group of colleagues who love working at Castle! A typical day for the Histologist entails performing basic histology tasks such as embedding, cutting, and routine H&E staining. You'll focus on dermatological and gastrointestinal specimens in a specialized reference lab, handle quality control, preventative maintenance, SOP reviews, and cut tissue microarrays (TMAs). Most of the day involves managing workflows, cutting specimens, and staining slides for accurate processing.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum Requirements
  • AA degree and/or Histotechnician (AA) in a scientific discipline or equivalent
  • 2-5 years of clinical histology experience
  • Track towards ASCP Histotechnician/Histotechnologist certification within 2 years
  • Demonstrated technical proficiency, scientific creativity, collaboration, and independent thought
  • Knowledge of clinical histology lab methodologies, regulatory requirements, and laboratory techniques

SCHEDULE/TRAVEL

• This is a full-time position requiring an 8-hour day with a start time between 6:30-8:00 am (8.5-hour workday)
• Minimal Travel may be required (less than 5% of time)

Salary Range: $45,468 - $75,524 + 20% Bonus Potential
