Job description

NOVA Health Therapies is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologists and Assistants to join our team. In this role, you will work with early intervention and school aged clients focusing on assessing and treating speech, language, and communication disorders. Your expertise will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with speech and language challenges, particularly in pediatric settings and early intervention programs.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate speech, language, and communication abilities including BDI, REELS, PLS - 5
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and patient needs.
  • Implement evidence-based speech therapy techniques to improve communication skills.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.
  • Provide guidance and education to families regarding speech development and therapy goals.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
  • Stay current with advancements in the field of speech-language pathology through continuous professional development.

Requirements

For SLPs/CFYs

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology related to speech and language functions.
  • Experience working with pediatric populations is preferred, particularly in school settings or early intervention programs is preferred
  • Excellent patient assessment skills with the ability to develop effective treatment strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and improving communication outcomes for individuals with speech disorders.
For Speech and Language Pathology Assistants:
  • Bachelors degree in Speech and Language Pathology
  • SLPA Qualifying course
  • Current California SLPA Licensure
