Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required.
• Associate of Science preferred.
• HT Certification preferred.
• 2 years Histology experience required (RSFH).

Responsibilities

• Performs histological procedures including accessioning, tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining.
• Assists Pathologist in gross examination and frozen sections.
• Reports accurate and timely results to support patient care.
• Documents problems affecting test performance and takes corrective actions.
• Operates and maintains histology lab equipment; monitors supplies and reorders as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
