Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs histological procedures including accessioning, tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining.
• Assists Pathologist in gross examination of surgical specimens and frozen sections.
• Reports accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care.
• Documents problems that may affect test performance and performs corrective actions.
• Operates and maintains histology lab equipment in proper state of readiness.
• Monitors inventory of supplies, equipment, and reagents; places orders for replacements.
• Other duties as assigned.
